This dazzling ring by Darryl Dean Begay was created by carving the design out of cuttle bone. The bone is from the skeleton of a cuttle fish. When the eighteen karat gold is poured into the carving the result is this beautiful wave pattern design. Atop the ring shank set in a thick hand made bezel sits a spectacular, rare and highly collectible gem grade natural Candelaria turquoise. The gem is among the top one per cent of the mine’s production and exhibits a tremendous amount of depth. Gorgeous hues of deep Candelaria blue swirl together amidst electric red spiderweb matrix signature to the mine. Gems of this quality are extremely rare, often selling for over a $100 per carat.
